NutrientNet User's Guide

There are two marketplaces on NutrientNet, the Nitrogen Marketplace and the Phosphorus Marketplace. These can be accessed by clicking on the 'Trade Credits' menu and then selecting the marketplace from the submenu.

Credits that have been posted to the marketplace appear on the marketplace screen. These are organized by water year, watershed and posting number. Each line also shows the number of credits available and the asking price per credit.

You may notice that a single posting may be spread over multiple lines. This occurs when the seller posts credits for multiple years. By providing a separate line for each year, it is easier to find the credits that you may be looking for.

Each marketplace can be filtered by watershed and/or water year. To activate the filter, select the watershed and year from the filter area at the top of the marketplace screen, and click the 'Apply Filter' button. After the filter is applied, only credits for the specified watershed and year will appear.

The marketplace can be sorted by any of the column headings. This makes it easy to sort the credits by the lowest price, or to sort by posting number to determine which of the credits are grouped in a single posting.

The number of credits in the DEP Reserve is displayed above the marketplace table. Credits in the DEP Reserve are setup to maintain liquidity in the market and provide some insurance against credits lost in the event of unforeseen circumstances. This is at the discretion of DEP.
